Lacey had her Wizard of Oz play today where she got to play the part of Glinda. She did so great and was one BEAUTIFUL Glinda! We are so proud of her! Her cousin Isabella was also Glinda so they had fun practicing together and they both made really cute Munchkins as well!

We all wore pink to church on Valentine's Day so of course we had to take some pictures. After what seemed to be forever we decided it was easier said than done. We got a couple that were OK but my favorite was this one that I ruined!!! It was fun, for the day we were the pink family in the Clarks and not the brown family.

Just a picture of my family who I love soooooo MUCH!

Today Kris and I got a sitter and took a few hours to first visit our new nephew Maddox! He belongs to my bro. Matt and Patricia. He is so precious, born this morning at 1:30 am. We are so excited for a new baby in the family!

Then we were off to do some Christmas shopping! its funny how when you think you are almost done you realize you have A LOT more to do than you thought. The stores were PACKED with many couples like Kris and I but with one major difference. Kris was happy to be shopping for his kids, on his own missions to find the perfect gift, unlike MOST of the other dads out there. It was so funny to watch these husbands push the cart with grimaces on their faces while the wives shopped. It made me so happy to have such a wonderful husband and I loved every minute of the crazy hussell and bussell of shopping 2 Saturdays before Christmas because I was with him. Good luck to all of those shoppers out there who still have last minute buys, its a jungle out there!

I just downloaded over 500 hundred pictures of the last 6 months! Yes I have have slacked on what I was calling my family journal. Well here is just a couple of pictures to show what we have been up to. Life is great. Kris is still loving work, I can't believe he has been in the field for almost a year. I'm still not so much loving work, we all can't be as lucky as Kris, but still pushing along and doing my best. Lacey is doing AWESOME in first grade. Mia is loving preschool and loves being able to do the monkeybars. And Kannon is just a Mama's boy. His personality is a crack up and we all just love him! We are all excited for Christmas and all the joy that the holidays bring!

We went to Idaho and Utah this summer to visit the Marsdens and go to Justin Lynch' wedding, fun,fun,fun!!!!

We went to Sea World... The kids new favorite! we can't wait to go back!

We went camping at Eagle Lake for the Shippen Family reunion, one of the best years ever!

We went to Clovis to go boating for a day with the Calls, Thanks John and Kristie!

I coached Laceys soccer team and we had a fun season with her cousins Bella and Gabrielle. Lacey scored 3 goals this year.

Lacey made the cutest Dorothy, Mia the cutest Tinkerbell, and Kannon the cutest Peter Pan for Halloween.

Kannon has renamed himself "Helmet Boy". He wears it every where!

And two weeks ago we renewed our Disneyland season passes, YAY! Lacey went on screamin for the first time and Kris got a GREAT video of her terrifying yet awesome experience. Mia went on everything her hight permitted which was alot, she's very brave. And Kannon just wanted to kiss all the girls, what a lady's man!

When we bought our house we were so excited to be home owners and to be able to work on it to make it our home. Well, our front patio has always been a sore eye and it is mainly my fault. I mean look at these rose bushes! Unpruned and dead! So I don't exactly have a green thumb, but luckily I'm married to someone who cares enough about our little front patio to make the effort to make it a little bit nicer to look at.

So this is what we did today. This darn little piece of dirt in front of our window has been so ugly for 4 years now. Maybe if we had more visitors, or used the front door more often it would have been more urgent, but Kris had finally had enough of the dirt. I always have just put it off because it is so expensive to plant, and we can all see how well I am at keeping flowers alive, but i do have to say it looks so much better and the $100.00 we spent will motivate me to keep these flowers alive. I love the Hydrangeas! They are suppose to get big! pretty huh!

Kris took Kannon to his first motocross race. If you know Kannon you know his OBSESSION with motorcycles. Kris could not wait to see Kannon in pure heaven and I think Kris got the reaction he had hoped out of him. They had so much fun with just the boys.

Lacey had her 6th birthday on May 19th! She is getting so big and maturing so much. Tonight when she was praying she asked for "Kannon to grow bigger and to learn how to talk better, that Mia will prepare herself while she is little to learn more, that Dad can be safe at work and learn everyday more about how to be a good policeman, and that mom can.... teach us more of what we need to learn." I thought it was cute because I guess I already know everything I need to learn. It really made me think for a minute that Lacey thinks it's important for her mom to teach the things she is suppose to learn and what a huge responsibility that is! I'm not going to take that lightly and I'm going to work harder at that.

Mia turned 4 April 26th! She had a great birthday filled with miniature golfing at Mountasia, dinner and ice cream at Mc Donalds, and a bounce house at Grandma and Grandpa Vandys! We had a lot of fun and I was so excited to do something fun for our cute Mia. I hope she never gets the middle child syndrome. She is so special to us, and we just love her to pieces!

Mia had her last ballet recital with Amber before they moved to Idaho. She did soo well and is so cute in her costume! Thanks Amber for the many years of dance classes!

Kannon is a true boys boy. Today I was returning phone calls when I heard Kannon calling Lacey from the garage,( yes, I left the door open when I was doing laundry, BAD MOMMY!) I wasn't to concerned though because I could hear him talking and laughing so I thought he had climbed into his go cart. I finished my call and went out to check on him and he had climbed up onto Dad's motorcycle and was turning the throttle and making his "cycle" noises. I have NO idea how he got up there, safely anyways. It makes me laugh at how much he LOVES motorcycles, and I know it makes daddy so proud. He is definitely ready for a bike of his own. Just 2 more years!

Lacey was recognized in an award ceremony at school for receiving an award for Fairness. Her teacher said she liked how Lacey always makes sure everyone has a turn in reading, and that she is a good friend to others. We were proud and she got a very cool medal. Both her cousins also received awards that day, which the teachers said was completely coincidental.

SNOW DAY!

For the past week Mia has prayed 3 times a day to go to the snow. Luckily when Saturday came there was still snow in the mountains and we made a trip. Mia LOVED every second but she especially loved going down the hill on the sled. She had a smile on her face the whole day. Lacey wasn't dressed quite as well for the snow but she was a trooper and just laughed every time she fell on her bottom. Kannon wasn't as big of a fan so we'll try it again next year. We went with our friends Ashley and Scott, Jet and Dane and at the end of the day we made an awesome snowman!

Then we came home, changed back into our shorts and t-shirts and enjoyed a warm day in sunny California, man life is rough!

Lacey has been so excited to be star of the week at school all year. Of course when it is finally her turn she gets sick for two of the days. She was excited to have dad come in and read a story to the class and talk about his job a little bit. She even brought a cops favorite food to share with the class, doughnuts! We took the subway to Down town LA for a day on the town! It was a great way to get out for a cheap day of fun!

We rode our bikes to Venice beach and then played in the sand and looked for treasures with my new toy! Forever I have wanted a metal detector and of course my hubby always comes through and Merry Christmas to me! The best Christmas present ever!

Kris trained and trained and trianed... He got Badged...

And he GRADUATED!!!!

WE are so proud of Kris! Out of 75 that started the Academy with him in August only 54 graduated. He excelled in the Academy which helps me to know that he will be the best cop around! Although it REALLY Sucks to be 2nd, He was only 1/10 a percentage point away from receiving the award for top overall recruit in his class. He says 2nd might as well be last but we all know he is the best! We love him and are proud of his accomplishment. Now we just pray he will be safe, love his career, and come home every night!

Not that I'm sure many people read my blog these days, but if you do I know I have seriously been neglecting this thing I call my family journal. So here is a quick catch up of pictures from the past month. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas season so far!

Mia and Carson had a date to see Santa and lunch.

Thanksgiving was FABULOUS, if you minus the fact that Lacey was quarantined all day for barfing. We loved seeing all of my family and the kids love the great grandmas.

This is what Kris came home to one night after work. Kannon was not going to let a good brownie bowl go to waste! He loved every second of it!

Yes, I was one of the crazies lined up hours before to see Twilight at the first midnight viewing. It was ALRIGHT?

Lacey had a great soccer season with the Pink Sparkles. She loved her coach, Aunt Kim who did a great job, and loved her friends. She was most excited about getting her first trophie and she "had a good feeling inside her" about it. She took a break in the middle of the season to pick the daisies but she finished the season strong scoring a goal and working really hard. We were very proud of her and the whole team. Lacey loved having her dad assist the team, and that she was surrounded by family. Thanks to everyone who came to games to watch and support her. It was a fun season!

Halloween finally....

We had a crazy week for Halloween, but after 5 parties, and a great night of trick or treating we called it a success. Lacey originially wanted to be something scary but finally decided on the Christmas Belle. She was BEAUTIFUL! Mia loved her Boo costume and has found a new love for her character. She is just so dang cute! And Kannon born to wear that Yoda Costume! I can't tell you how many people stopped us to tell how cute he looked. Thanks to the Morris' and Edwards' for letting us borrow the great costumes this year. Here are some fun pictures.

We also can't forget that Grandma had a birthday also on the 28th! Thanks for all you do for our family! We love you! Have a great year and a happy birthday!

We have learned so much about ourselves from the past few months of rallying together for prop 8. We've won this one, but we know there will be plenty of more battles to come. Of course we are ecstatic and grateful to have won but, I thought about what would have happened if we didn't. Not socially but from a personal point of view. I wondered, would it have mattered if we all worked so hard and had so much faith and then had lost? I've decided it wouldn't have mattered as far as my faith was concerned. I think what was important was that we did what our Prophet asked and we stood firmly on the "RIGHT" side. I know I have a stronger testimony of the family and I'm grateful to have been apart of this battle.

I don't think it is any suprise to anyone who is reading this that my family will be voting yes on Prop 8 come Nov. 4th. We live in a crazy time where we have to define what is right and what is wrong for our Families and for our children. 40 years ago we would not be having this battle because it was clear then that marriage between a man and a woman is what strengthens the family instead of destroying it.

To those who question where they draw their line I would ask this... Is it RIGHT for a MAN TO MARRY HIS DAUGHTER? OR A BROTHER TO MARRY HIS SISTER? or as my bro-in-law says A MAN TO MARRY HIS DOG? OF COURSE NOT. Many of us would say these ideas are disgusting, morally wrong, but more important they destroy the family unit. I'm drawing my line at MARRIAGE ONLY BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN for the sake of the family. Every child has the right to a Mother and a Father. If we are so concerned about the rights of those who are In love no matter what their gender, than why not the same rights for those who love their daughter or sister. We all have to draw a line and take a stand for what is right and for what is best for our families.

It is so gratifying to stand on the side who peacefully holds their signs high and proud. I can honestly say their is NO HATE from the yes on 8 side. However, There is no mistaking the anger and hatred that comes from the oppenents. I can tell you I been sworn at numerous time for my right to believe and say what I may. The other day at a protest on a corner, one man with a yes on 8 sign stood amongst many with the opposing belief. My thought was good for him. Than next to him read a sign "Somebody punch this guy =>". Now that is what I call hate. It angers me to be called a "bigot" or "hater" when I feel it is very clear what side I stand on.

So to all of those who share my views, please vote. We need to do all we can in the next 6 days to encourage all to protect the family, protect marriage!

We love going to the pumpkin patch every year but even more we love the pictures. This year was a little different. Mia will not look at the camera, Lacey has a hard time just being natural and smiling and well, Kannon is one! So we did our best and after much frustration this is what we got. Family Fun At Disneyland!

Kris had the day off today so we decided to spend our precious family time at where else besides Disneyland. The high lights of the day were Lacey going on Indiana Jones for the first time and Mia going on Space Mountain, Star Tours, Thunder Mountain, Soaring over California, and TOWER OF TERROR, for the first time! Yes my little Mia went on all of these big rides and she loved every second of it! It was so funny, after Tower of Terror she asked "that was just the elevator... now can we go on the ride?" She did have the help of about an inch and a half of toilet paper stuffed under her heal in her sock but she thought it was so cool! It cracked me up every time we readjusted her lump to make her taller. Oh and the other best part of the day was we got Year of a Million Dream Fast passes! WOO HOO! After going all year we finally got something! That made our day. As we were leaving Lacey kept saying "This was the best day ever!" and " This was such a great day". We sure did have a lot of fun!

Mia made it 40 in! And this is why... I love her double heel!

Can you say SPOILED! Today Mia had her Grandma day with my Mom since Lacey got one a couple of weeks ago. Of course Mia had to do just what Lacey did so off they went to Build A Bear. Both of their bears say really cute things in their own voices, which I love! They had great days spending time with Grandma Vandy and I'm glad they have such great grandparents who love them and love to spend time with them.

Annie, Allie, and London came to town for a couple of weeks and we had so much fun! We loved getting to know the girls better and having them long enough to get to know us as well. Mia already misses Allie and asked if we could go to Chuck E Cheese's with her. Bummer that was one thing we didn't do. The whole reason for coming was Zoe's baptism. So the first weekend was filled with lots of family and fun. The Coopers came, and we were surprised when Aunt Toni and Katie with kids came too. Friday night before the baptism we played at Scooters Jungle for a combined party for Zoe and Abby.

We had a couple of fun days at the mall for lunch and Kids town. And plenty of days eating lots of Popsicles!

One day we took just the little one for a day at Disneyland. It was fun to be back and the kids were all great. Don't feel too bad for Lacey, she had a fantastic time with Grandma Vandy on her grandma day.

We had a great visit and miss the Marsdens already!

I need to apologize for not being good at checking every ones blogs to see all of the fun things that you are doing. I have really been trying to not let the crazy time we are going through effect the journaling of my family for exciting times, however when I get 5 min. to blog that is how I've been using it. I hope to catch up soon on all that you have been up to.

This entry is purely for journaling because I think lots of times we only post what is fun and exciting and yet there is so much to learn from when times aren't as "FUN". So feel free to skip past this entry and the inner workings of my mind.

I have been feeling so sorry for myself lately and today I realized that my pity, or poor me time has to be over. I have so much admiration for women who are in a position where they have to work and they balance work, family, and household. Since Kris has started the Academy I have been running our mattress business. Some days I feel like I barely have time to breathe let alone keep my house clean, play with and be involved in my kids life, support my husband in his new difficult job, do my calling as YW secretary, as well as run a business. Today it hit me, This hell is only for 6 months! What do I really have to complain about? Many women do this every day and here I am feeling sorry for myself because I have to do this for 6 months. The hardest part is feeling like I'm neglecting my children but I know that this experience will be good to learn from for all of us involved. My kids are starting to understand the value of a dollar, so to speak, and that we don't always get all the treats and toys we want. They are also learning what it's like to have a daddy who is always gone and a mommy who might as well be. Although this is not what I want for my kids, I'm hoping that after these few short months they will really appreciate the time we can spend together because I know I will. I just have to keep telling myself it is only a few short months, I CAN DO THIS, WE CAN DO THIS! So when my children look back and read this blog I hope they realize that some times we have to make sacrifices for the good of our family, and although they might feel neglected at the time being, Mom and Dad are doing their best and we are doing this for the good of our family and esp. for them. So although I should feel guilty for spending too much time writing when I should be cleaning, returning phone calls or playing with Mia,(Lacey's at school, Kannon's asleep), I feel better knowing that I can do this, others have, and I'm done feeling sorry for myself!

Of course Mia has anxiously awaited the day that she gets to go to school just like Lacey, well that day has arrived! Mia loved her first day of school! I stayed and worked in her class today, which I don't think she really appreciated since she is such a "BIG GIRL". She loved paling around with her bud Carson, and loved making her artwork. We are excited for her to be able to do something fun also.

Great Friends!

I was so lucky to grow up in a ward where I had AMAZING friends. Most of which I am still best buds with today. I feel so blessed to be in a ward now that my kids get that same privilege. Last night we went to Wahoo's for dinner with a huge group of friends from the ward for Than Illums birthday. Lacey and Mia were so excited to be able to eat and hang out with some of their closest buds from church. This is only half the kids Lacey has her age and she loves them all so much! She is also gracious enough to let Mia hang out them which makes her whole day. We have the most wonderful ward and with the coolest friends and I couldn't ever imagine leaving it. One day I know Lacey will really appreciate how blessed she is to have these great friends like I know I was and am. Liam, Gabrielle, Bella, Mia, Lacey, Kyle, Asher and Berlin

Chevron BBQ

The Wallaces invited us to the Chevron BBQ that they have every year. Man, this is far more than just a BBQ though. Imagine, all you can eat chicken, burgers, hot dogs, sausages, churros, ice cream, snow cones, and a ton of yummy sides. And then after all the great food there is elephant rides, ferris wheels, slides, amusement park type rides, bounce houses, obstacle courses, face painting, and the list goes on and on. Oh, and did I mention the best part... it was all FREE! It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon after a long stressful week. Thanks Keenan and Amber it was great!

It's Official...

Some of you may be surprised but yes, Kris is now apart of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Many of you know that Kris has always had the desire to do Law Enforcement of some kind particularly FBI. Well about 4 months ago when we went to San Jose, Kris spoke to a good friend who happens to be Chief of Police Rob Davis. Rob has always supported Kris in the idea of doing FBI but this visit was a little different. Rob really encouraged Kris to look into the Police Department more because of all of the possibilities for positions and promotions as well as he felt it would be better on our life as a Family. Well, we got home and Kris immediately did his research and decided this is what our family needed. With in a month his testing was done and we waited for the back ground investigation to be completed. Today LAPD offered Kris the position and he starts the Academy Monday. Yes, as in 5 days from now. This is going to be a huge adjustment for our family but we are very excited to see what the future brings. Now when Lacey is asked in Kindergarten what her daddy does, she can say he is a police man!

Today was a very exciting day in the Clark home. Lacey officially goes to elementary school now! I have been so excited her because that girl is more than ready for school. She is so excited to learn how to read, although she is doing pretty dang good already. We woke up early to curl Lacey's hair and then we headed over to walk to school with cousins. Lacey is so excited to be in Gabrielle's class and she loves to be able to see Bella at recess. Today they didn't get to play at all because they spent the whole time eating their snacks. I guess we need to limit it to only one snack. After her long day, not long enough if you ask me, she was exhausted! She came home and took a nap, and we get to do it all over again tomorrow. We are so proud of our big girl!

On Saturday we had a Lopez family reunion. (My mom's side) There was a huge turn out with probably 150 people. I met alot of Aunts, Uncles, first, second and third cousins that I have never met before. It was down in Monterey Park and they had great Mexican food. It was a true party. Patricia and Hailey went with the kids and I, and I was really glad we went.

Kannon is ONE! WOW, where does the time go? Kannon woke up this morning to have pancakes for breakfast, yum! Of course the kids were excited for him to open presents so he opened a couple of cars and monster trucks. Right now Kannon's favorite thing is to push cars around so he was in heaven. He loved his Hotwheels balloons and loved the attention of the day.

We went to the mall to get Kannon's pictures done and we did get a couple of cute ones.
After pictures and Panda for lunch we went to cousins to play for a little bit. Grampa (with Kris' encouragement) couldn't wait to give Kannon his present so he did. Kannon loves his quad and had a great time racing down the driveway with cousins. He laughed and laughed!

After we all went to the park to play and have cake and cookies. We had most of our family and some friends come to play. Kannon wasn't the least bit interested in eating his cake, but he did like to play in it. Thanks to all who came and made his birthday fun and for all the great gifts!

Kannon's room is finally done! My parents gave us everything we needed to do Kannon's room for our baby shower gift when he was born. Well, the chair rail sat in our garage finished for over six months now and Kris and his Dad finally hung it. I love it! My friend Melinda made his quilt which became the center of inspiration for his room, and my mom made his bumper and valance. Thanks to all who helped, it's so fun to have a finished boy room!

Yesterday a group of people from our ward went to Price is Right. We had a group of 15 including the Aldridge's, Aranda's, Olsen's, Brenda George, Kerrie, Ashley, Mom, Daniel and myself. I was sad because when we got there I found out that I was ineligible to be a contestant because I had already been on 2 game shows in the past 10 years. BUMMER! BUT... Good news is Daniel got on! OK, not like any of us were surprised! As soon he said he wanted to go Sunday night I already knew my chances were slim to none next to him of getting on. So, he was one of the first contestants called up to start the show. His first bid was on a dirt bike which was so exciting, but we couldn't hear the make and model and Dan overbid. That was such a bummer because the first prize was 3 CARS! We knew it was going to be a good day since it was the first day of taping for the new season. Dan eventually made it stage after winning a Mac air notebook laptop. SO COOL! He then got to play a new game called gas change for the chance to win a new Pontiac Solstice (what a cool, fun car!) plus, it gets better, $10,000! To see how it turned out you are going to have to watch him on TV on Sept. 22.(I think) We had a fun time and it was so awesome cheering on Dan up on stage! Way to go Daniel! you were AWESOME!

On a side note, I do have other clothes in my wardrobe other than this green shirt that I seem to be wearing in every picture on this blog. I guess it is time to find another comfy shirt or just plan better when I'm going to be taking pictures!

Refugio Beach

Since I was a little girl my family has camped at Refugio beach every summer. Now that it has been discovered for the gem that it is, it has been nearly impossible to get a site and so for the last couple of years our tradition is slowly disappearing. But don't worry, by some random happenings, we were able to go last minute for a few days. My parents got one site from Sunday until Thursday so we all took turns coming and going to enjoy a short vacation. The girls and I headed up Tuesday morning and came home Wednesday night. Kris showed up Tuesday night surprising us and left sometime Wednesday in the afternoon. We love going here and like Kris said when he got there, we forget how amazing it really is there until you pull in. We had a great, and much needed 2 day vacation in paradise!

This morning Kris woke up at the crack of dawn to go golfing with a couple of friends. While he was away the girls wanted to decorate so we made do with what we had. Just a reminder...

On my cell phone, I have written on the screen saver " I LOVE KRIS". Some have laughed at this sentiment, as if I am a school girl doodling on my notebook, and I jokingly reply well it's just in case I need a reminder.
Last night as I sat down to blog, I reflected on the day and was filled with frustration for my kids. I restrained from giving details of my day filled with arguing, disobedience and then lack of reverence at the baptism. As I lied in bed I thought I just need a reminder of why I love my kids so much even after a day like today. SO.. for my own benefit, this is why I love my kids.

First, I love Lacey because she is filled with excitement for life. She is so eager to learn new things and I'm so lucky to be able to teach her about the world around her. I love that every night she won't let us go to bed with out saying a prayer. Her faith is overwhelming and her prayers are so sincere. As our family heard in Idaho, her prayers are not of those most 5 years old. She thinks of what she is saying knowing that her Father in heaven is listening. What a priceless lesson I can learn from her. She is beautiful and truly a princess of God.

Second, I love Mia for her sweet kind spirit. She wants so bad to always make Mom and Dad happy and is so sensitive to any sense of disappointment from us. For example, If she ever drops food by accident, making a mess, she so quickly pleads for forgiveness. Her smile is one that truly will melt your heart. I love that she loves to be held and babied because I know it won't last forever. She is a great big sister and I love that she loves her siblings so much. She is such a blessing to our family.

Finally, I love Kannon because he is the happiest baby I could have ever imagined having. His loving disposition is enough to make me feel our family is complete. I love that he gets so excited to see us every time he wakes up or comes into the room. I love that he is a perfect sleeper. I love that he likes to play Patti cake, and that he loves to dance. He makes me fall in love all over again everyday.

Every now and then I may need a reminder but still the same I love my family so very much!

Saturday is a special Day..

Today our niece Sophie got baptized and we are so happy and proud off her. Family came in town and it is always fun to catch up and visit. Kris nearly missed the baptism, strolling in 45 min before, because he was called very last minute to participate in an eco-challenge race that started at 3 am. The team had a team mate flake last minute and they couldn't race with out a fourth man. It was a 10 hr. race of running, and mountain biking through the hills of Santa Monica. Needless to say he is exhausted and getting some well needed rest.

After Sophie's baptism we went back to her home for a get together and swimming. From there we went to dinner with my whole family for my Mom's birthday, YAY! We went to Cowboy Canteen, (the restaurant in the old Rattlers location) and it was really yummy. note... we'd recommend it, fun atmosphere and good food! Between Linner (lunch/dinner) at Kerrie's, and the massive feast at the restaurant, we were in hog heaven.

Our trip to Idaho

Our vacation started with spending a couple of days in Utah. Our friends Cookie, Jason and Olivia were nice enough to let us stay with them and it was so great to see them. Olivia and Kannon were the cutest couple I think I have ever seen. They had so much fun together. Mia also loved spending every second she could with Olivia. We also spent some time with Kris' best friend growing up, Justin. His family was having a reunion so we visited with them at their beautiful cabin and played a little rock band. We had a great time in Utah, we just wished we had more time to spend with friends.

Sunday morning we drove to Idaho for our niece London's baby blessing. It was so great to meet her, she is so beautiful! Annie treated us to a great dinner and it was fun to finally see where she lived and the farm. Ashton is beautiful!

After dinner we headed to the cabin and got all settled in for the week. While we were there we had Allie's, Gabrielle's, Olivia's, and Sophie's birthday, talk about a week of parties. Along with birthdays Jerry and Kathy celebrated their 40th anniversary!

Monday we went floating down the Snake river and that was definitely a highlight of the trip. (to bad I don't have any pictures!) My brother Dan is up at BYU Idaho and he came down to raft with us. That was an extra bonus in the trip. Tuesday we had a Ashton day. We started the day at Big Judd's for lunch and do you see the size of this burger! Our whole family shared it and it was DELICIOUS! Then we went and fed the fish, and then off we went to Mesa Falls. What a beautiful sight. Ashton is surrounded by amazing nature and beautiful sights.

On Wednesday we got babysitters for all of the kids, minus London and Kannon, and went to the Rexburg Temple and what an amazing experience. It was so great to have Kris' entire family together in the temple. After the temple we all went to dinner, along with Dan and his date, and it was a great end to a perfect evening. After dinner the men all got a little taste of farming when they helped Jordan move pipe. It was definitly an experience and Kris enjoyed working with Jordan.

Thursday we had boat races at Squirrel creek. The kids had so much fun and we got some cute pictures of the day.

The forth of July was really fun in Ashton. The day was filled with a softball tournament that Jordan, Annie and Kris played in, a parade down Main St. where they threw candy to all the kids and a firework show at the park. Kannon LOVED the fireworks. It was a lot of fun.

Some of my favorite parts of the trip were penny candy, yeah.. yummy candy for only a penny a piece!, being with family and the horse rides!

On the way home we stopped at Yellowstone's Bear World and it was AMAZING! Yes these are real bears that surrounded our car. It was so crazy and the kids loved every second of it. We definitely recommend it to everyone.

We had a great vacation and the best part of all was seeing the Marsdens and spending the week with family.

Wow, How crazy that we have been married for 7 years! I told Kris this morning that we were old married farts now! I have to say that although we have had many bumps in the roads, this has been the greatest journey ever! I love my husband so much and I'm lucky to have him.

This weekend was Kris' 10 year high school reunion, so we decided to take a road trip and get away just the 2 of us for our anniversary. We left all the Kiddos with Grammy and Grampy, and no, they didn't miss us for one second! Thanks so much Kathy and Jerry. We left Friday to San Jose and headed straight to our friends Dave and Kristie's house for a New Orleans style party. They made DELICIOUS shrimp, jumbilia(sp?), and 25 lbs of crawdads! That whole ice chest is full of them in the pic. above. It was a feast, and we had alot of fun visiting with Kris' old friends.

Saturday we had a fun, relaxing day. We went to the mall and saw Iron Man. We both enjoyed it and probably enjoyed it even more knowing we weren't paying for a babysitter at home. After we met up with another friend Brandon and his girlfriend Michelle to go ride go carts. Kris and Brandon grew up racing together so they had a lot of fun. Kris posted the 3rd fastest time of the day, only missing by .02 of a second, so I think that made it even more fun for him!

We then went to Kris' reunion which was at AP Stumps chophouse in Downtown. All in all we had a good time. Kris was a little disappointed by the turn out, but the people that did come made it a party. It was so fun for me to get to know that part of Kris' life. I got to meet so many people that I have heard about for so many years and it was great to put faces and personalities to names. He had/has really great, fun friends and so that was a lot of fun. Kris won an award for having the most children which was a fun bonus.

We had a great weekend but couldn't wait to get home to the kids. Kannon was too cute when we came in the door. That look of 'wow, my mom and dad are alive?!' was priceless! He also started making this funny face that Lacey used to make which had us all cracking up! Just another great reminder of what beautiful things came from 7 years of marriage. I love my family!

With gas prices the way they are, we have been trying to find fun things to do that don't cost money and we don't have to drive far to go to. I forget sometimes how fun the library is. Lacey kept singing "Having fun isn't hard.. when you've got a library card." (I think she got it from the show Arthur) They love reading books and its a cool way to stay out of the heat. We definitely recommend it!

The Dads I Love Most...

I have been so lucky to be surrounded by so many great Dads in my life. These are the Dads I love most..,

First, I love my Dad sooo much! The truth is I didn't fully appreciate my dad until after I got married. As a kid I didn't understand the responsibilty of owning your own business and trying to support your family of 11! My Dad is no question the most generous man I know. Sometimes it can be hard to be on the other end of such generousity, but I know thats how my dad shows his love for me and our family. My Dad really cares about knowing that his kids are happy and taken care of and even if at times we are undeserving of his generousity he can't stand to watch his children need for anything. I know that my Dad loves me and my family so much and we love him dearly. I'm so greatful for the great relationship my kids get to have with their Grandpa.

Next, I love Kris' Dad for oh so many reasons. I have never met a man so dedicated to being involved in each of his children and grandchildrens lives. He loves each one of us unconditionally and he has so much pride in his all of his family. I know Kris is the man he is today because of his mom and dad but his Dad has had such a major influence over him. I would not hesitate for a second in saying that Jerry truely is Kris' best friend and I feel so lucky to have him as a second dad and a great grandpa for my kids.

Last but obviously not least my hubby and the Dad of my children. The kids truely can't wait till Daddy gets home. I always knew he would be a great dad from the way he was with all of his neices.(one of the many reasons I fell so hard for him) He loves our kids so much and every decision he makes I know he make because it is what he thinks is best for me and especially our children. It's so reasuring to know that we have someone who loves us so much and would do ANYTHING for us. I love Kris so much and both of our Dads for the great example they are to me and our kids.

Saturday was a great day! It started with a primary activity for the kids and their dads. They had a yummy breakfast(from what I hear), a relay race, made pictures and the kids even got to shave Dad. They had a great time.

Lacey got strep and missed out on couple of things that she had been looking forward to this week so I was happy that she could make it to the primary program. She is doing better now that she is on her antibiotics and all we can do is cross our fingers that no one else in the family will get it.

We spent the afternoon playing with cousins and then came home and got ready for Kris and I to go out on a date. We met some friends at Paquito Mas for dinner and then headed over to the movies to see the Zohan, or whatever that movie is called. My honest critic of the movie is this... I cracked up for a lot of the movie but for more of it I was in absolute shock at the content. This movie should definitely be rated R. The good news is that I don't think "any one" could be offended by this movie because I think they offended EVERY ONE! There are plenty of funny one liners but when all was said and done I can't ever imagine recommending this movie to anyone. I do love going on dates with Kris though and we always have a great time.

All and all a great day filled with great activity and great company.

On Friday we got to go to lunch with our dear friends Chris and Danielle. We got to meet their handsome new baby boy, Brandon. Mia always loves to see her boyfriend Conner. Relay for Life...

This is our second year attending the Relay for life, and we have just loved the experience. What it is, is a program for the American Cancer Society. It is a way to raise money for cancer research, and from what I hear they raised $500,000 yesterday. Now that is amazing! It is held at Central Park and for 24 hrs there are always people walking the track. At night the track is lit by luminaries all representing survivors of cancer and many who lost their battle. It is truly a beautiful site. Along the track are hundreds of teams fighting to battle cancer in one way or another, each trying to raise money for the cause. We have several people in our ward who are battling cancer right now and we have been touched by there experience. Along the track there are thousands of gift baskets and give aways, which we all love! This year they especially had some amazing baskets, 2 wii baskets, a xbox360, and a kazillion gift certificate baskets. The kids loved spending the day there so much that Kris even stayed the night with the girls. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who has never experienced it. Next year we are going to join the Nathans Crusade's team (a boy in our ward) and actually take a turn walking the track for an hour. What an amazing experience!

Look what we won! A gift certificate worth $480 for the TBC Golf course! It is for a round of golf for 4 people! I'm excited Kris will be able to experience a professional golf course at least once in his life!

Lacey Graduated!

On Thursday Lacey graduated from preschool. The crazy thing about that is that I now have a KINDERGARTNER! She is so excited for elementary school and is definitely ready! The award she was given by her teacher was most willing to help and best singer. As you can tell from the video, she loves to sing so we were not at all surprised. We are SO excited for a fun summer filled with road trips, beach days, and time at the pool. But even with the excitement of summer, we can't wait for the Fall!

I have been working on a project and I'm finally done! My sis-in-law Annie had this great idea to make a book for our kids about their Mommy and Daddy before we had them. Well I used my pampers points to get a shutterfly book and made a "Before we were your Mommy and Daddy..." book. I'm so excited about the way it turned out and here is just a small sample of what I did. Obviously there is alot more pictures, with alot more text.

It seems like in our family we have week long birthdays. Lacey is probably the sweetest girl I know. She told me "this is best birthday I could have asked for" at least 10 times. So her best birthday ever started with opening some presents in the morning which consisted of mostly clothes, a Popple (from Mia), and good old Connect four. Then we headed to the pool. Dad brought her new bike there and she was so excited. We needed a brake for Panda Express, per her request of course, and then back to the pool for a few hours. Our friends Kristy, Nyah, Sade, Amber, Keenan, Leila and Shane, popped by to swim which was a lot of fun. We had Mac 'N Cheese for dinner and then headed to Chuck E Cheeses to play. All the family from both sides came and it was a good time.

Tuesday, Kris and Lacey went to Disneyland all by them selves. From what I hear Lacey was pretty content with hanging out all day. They went on a few rides, watched the parades, got her face painted and ate lots of treats. Sounds like a great time to me!

Now all we have left is her lunch bunch party on Friday... yes there is still more! I have to admit I'm worried about all the kids in my little house. Hopefully they will have fun.

Now in honor of Lacey I thought I'd share something funny she said the other day that I think all of you would get a kick of. We were all laying in our bed one hot morning and Kris was commenting on how all the kiddos were naked,(in panties and diapers of course) and Lacey said something to the effect of "mom and dad you always sleep in the same jammies EVERY night. That's gross, don't you need to wash them!" We laughed, and were some what shocked that she didn't know more... I guess we get to teach her something new.

Mothers Day!

I just want to write a quick note about how much I love my kids and hubby. Yesterday Lacey jumped out of bed with an excited "It's Mother's Day!" I think she has for sure been looking forward to this day even more than me. I got a new swimsuit, dress for church, and a new camera, YAY! All day Lacey kept saying " happy Mother's day Mom, I love you." It was precious and I loved it all 50 times she said it.

We had a nice day at our ward, where the highlights were Lacey singing in sacrament, a nice Relief society lesson, and a yummy light brunch. After we went straight to my mom's ward to spend some time with her. The talks and lessons were enlighten and Lacey and Mia got to sing this time in sacrament, lucky me! Lacey stayed with me for the whole three hours,(she thought she was the luckiest girl in the world to get to go to 2 primaries!) while Kannon and Mia thought 4 hours of church was more than enough. Kris took them back to my parents so I could enjoy the afternoon with my mom. I love her so much and I'm grateful for the way she raised me.

After 6 hours of church we ended our Mothers Day with dinner at Kris' parents. They made the yummiest little burgers with pasta salad, fruit salad, and baked beans. We enjoyed relaxing, visiting and watching the kids play. Kathy has been such an Amazing Mother in Law and I'm so lucky to have her in my life. I know Kris wouldn't be half the man he is today without her.

Lacey did well and we enjoyed every moment of it. We wanted to thank Amber for being an AWESOME teacher and the girls love you! And not to toot my own horn or anything... but I think their tu-tu's turned out pretty dang cute after all.

oh, and ps. I broke my camera tonight(SO SAD) so who knows when my next post will be. Hopefully we will be able to get another camera soon.

So this is what it looks like to be 3! We had a great week starting out with Disneyland on Tuesday. Just Mia and I went while Kris had Kannon and Lacey for the day. We had so much fun! We went on whatever she wanted and had a great day. On Friday Mia had a few friends over for lunch and a couple of games. She loved having her own little "lunch bunch" party just like Lacey and I loved that it was only for 1 1/2 hours. Lets just say birthday parties should definately start at 4 years old. I did love seeing her have so much fun though. And Finally on the day that really matters, today, we hung out. We had Mia's choice, El Pollo Loco for lunch, and grilled cheese with tomato soup for Dinner. We then went swimming at the pool with Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. We had Chocolate cupcakes and cookies for dessert and Mia's favorite present was.... of course MAKE UP! All in all a sucess and we love our little Mia!

Today we went to my niece Hailey's first birthday party. She had it at my parents house and we had a great day. It started first with Elmo! He came and played games with the kids, did a majic show, painted faces and took pictures with the kids. He was a little bit of a crazy Elmo, but all of the adults got a good laugh.

Now my brother went all out! Yes, you are looking at pony rides and a petting zoo! That is what I call a party! My parents yard was filled with goats, sheep, a pig, a bunny, and chickens. The kids loved every second of it. They got to feed the animals and Lacey and Mia went on "like TEN PONY RIDES!" After Elmo, the petting zoo, pony rides, TWO huge pinatas (as if one were not enough!), a yummy lunch, and delicious cake.... Mia was as exausted as these baby goats. I hope Mia didn't get any ideas for her birthday on Saturday, No pressure or anything! Happy Birthday Hailey!

Our Vacation!

Well, here we are on our fantastic vacation! I know there is a lot here but for journal purposes bare with me! Thursday morning we drove to Santa Cruz to spend a couple of hours at the beach. It took close to five hours to get there and for the most part the kids traveled pretty well. We met up with the Coopers(Kristie, Henry, Drew, and Maddie), Emily and Dylan, and the Morris'. The weather was beautiful and Kannon loved his first time at the beach... esp how the sand tastes! We stayed the weekend at the Coopers, which was so nice of them to take us in, and our vacation officially began!

We love San Fransisco! We had such a great day being total tourist! On the way we stopped off at the airport to pick up Rod and Calli, and the kids loved watching the airplanes land and take off. Then we took off to Pier 39 and walked down to Fisherman's wharf for Lunch. We showed the kids Alcatraz and Lacey found it so interesting. The day was filled with cable car rides, which was sooooo cool, a walk down the Golden State Bridge, and then a Giants game. It was a busy day but it was so much fun!

Saturday was one of the less busier days on our trip. It started by waking up bright and early with an 8 o'clock breakfast with Kris' Aunt Toni and cousin Jamie at the world famous restaurant Stacks (at least that's what I was told). It was delicious and great to visit with them. After that we were off to the park for about an hour before we headed to Kris' cousin Drew's baseball game. We had a lot of fun and Lacey even caught a fly ball with her head. From there we headed to Oakland to go to another cousins sealing. (yeah, Kris has a lot of cousins!) While we were in the temple the kids played outside with Cousin Shane and girlfriend Nikki, Thanks guys! Lauren and Aaron were glowing and we felt so privileged to witness there great day. Saturday ended with a yummy dinner at Aunt Kristie's with all of the Moyes side of the family.

On Sunday we went to church at Kris' home ward which is always fun for him. He got to reunite with a lot old family friends and catch up on whats new. After church we met Kris' good friend Dave and his girlfriend Kristy for a nice lunch. Dave always gives Kris a nice update on all of their old high school friends and I love listening to them talk about the good old days.

Finally to end our vacation Kris wanted to take the kids to the creek that he would play at every day in the summer. We looked for crawdads, but non were to be found. However, we did see lots of tadpoles and some ducks. While Lacey was walking through the water she said, "Dad, this is the best vacation ever!" I would have to say if this vacation was not the best... it was pretty dang close, we had a great time!

The other day I took the kids to my parents to play. Lacey was having such a good hair day that I wanted to take some pictures. Of course she got totally into it and my Aunt suggested getting her into modeling and commercials. Well, when we got home all she could talk about was making a video so she could be on TV. She had it all in her mind what she wanted to do and say. So for over an hour we had so much fun making these videos. Lacey was cute trying to be serious but Mia was cracking me up! In Lacey's I esp. love the part "on her way to see her nanny", instead of on her way to Cincinnati.

Our kids our way too spoiled! They had such a fun Easter. They had a great egg hunt at church for their primary activity, then another egg hunt at Vasquez Rocks. My mom made prize eggs and also lots of money eggs,Lacey found $7! Then my Brother Matt and his wife Patricia made the girls these AWESOME baskets full of their favorite things... Thanks guys! And on top of all of that the Easter Bunny came and left all their goodies in umbrellas and a dump truck for Kannon. We have had such an amazing Easter, But most of all I am so grateful for my Savior and his sacrifice for me, and for all of us.

It has become tradition in my family to go to Vasquez Rocks the Saturday before Easter. I look forward every year to visiting with family, climbing rocks, the AMAZING egg hunt, and enjoying the day relaxing outside. They put on a pretty amazing production of Jesus' life and Crucifixion which Lacey really enjoys watching. This year we took our niece Gabrielle, and Kris and my brothers took the three girls all the way to the top of the highest point of the rocks. Kannon and I hung out at the bottom to take pictures. They are the dots at the top. This is one of the few reasons I love Easter!

YAY! After 5 weeks and 2 days, we got Kris' truck back today! Obviously it wasn't totalled, in fact it was only about $10,000 in damage. We have loved having AAA for insurance and we would recommend it to everyone! Although daily life has been a little inconvenient, this experience has made me so grateful for 2 cars, paseos, nice weather, close family and friends, and for Lacey being a great little walker. Anyone want to go to Disneyland?

Well, since I haven't had a car now for almost a month, I have been forced to pretty much walk everywhere. Today Mia, Kannon and I left really early to go on a run before picking up Lacey from school and we got there a lot earlier than I had planned. Mia of course loves playing on the playground so it worked out nice. What I learned though is it is OK to not be so rushed to get everywhere. Having nowhere else to go, I really enjoyed just playing with my kids, enjoying the weather, and not worrying about where I needed to be and what I needed to do next. Kannon loved playing in the sand which made me super excited for beach days! As miserable as it has been to not have a car and feel like my world has been turned up side down, It's made me appreciate the little things in life.

Friday Morning I was sitting in Ballet when I got a call from my brother Dan. He asked what I was doing with the kids all day, which I thought was weird, and then I find out he was here because he decided to drive down from Idaho for the weekend. What a great suprise! To be honest, I think we all have felt a little cheated with him taking off to BYU Idaho only a month after he got home from his mission. Even Lacey still prays for her Uncle Daniel to have a good time on his second mission in Idaho! We do love hearing all about the fun he is having there and it is so cool that he gets to have this amazing experience. Well, we had a great time seeing him and it is always a party when he is around.

Tonight we went to my oldest friend Jackie Thompsons/Johnson wedding. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera because it was an awesome reunion with so many great friends! The bride and groom were BEAUTIFUL, the food was delicious, the music was fun, and the company was amazing! I think my favorite part though was watching my kids run around with all of their friends just like it was me 20 years ago! What great memories it brought back! For those of you who were there I had so much fun catching up, and for those who weren't.... you really missed a great party! We missed you Camila and Denise!

I was a Junior in high school which means my 10 year is coming up! I think it was boys volleyball season which means I was at every game near or far supporting my boyfriend at the time and all my guy friends. I guess you could call me a loyal fan.

Go to Kris' soccer game(still a loyal fan!), Pick up my house after having 7 of Lacey's friends over yesterday for lunch bunch, Find our video camera and make sure it works so I can make a Deal or no Deal audition tape, OK I have finally come up with a good concept that I think can get me on the show, I am totally STOKED about it. Fold laundry and play with my kids, but lets face it, the laundry won't get folded!

What would you do if you became a billionaire?
Well I have been day dreaming about this lately because of the deal or no deal thing and I think I am pretty practical. We had a great day at Disneyland this week, My Mom went with us and Angela and Ashlyn met us there. Mia loved hanging out with Ashlyn and Lacey loved going on all the big rides with Grandma. We also saw David Arquette,(sp?) with his daughter Coco(she's wearing the Alice dress and blonde wig), and his sister Patricia(black hat). If you look at the top picture close you can see the man wearing the blue jacket has his ear peice in. That was fun but I wish I would have been a little more stalkerish to get a better picture. It was funny because Mia and Lacey went right up to Coco and said look Mom Alice! I just said "yep isn't she pretty, lets go." I should have let her go back to play with her when I realized who she was! Oh well we had a great day!

A day in Clovis

Last Sunday we went to Clovis and I've been meaning to post these pictures. This is Kris' mom's cousin John and as you can see the girls LOVE him! His son Phillip just got home from his mission in Canada and so we made the trip to hear him speak in sacrament. He did an amazing job and we had a perfect day visiting with family. The kids were in heaven playing in the back yard, or should I say private park. OK, I do have to say that they have my dream home for certain! We played croquet, ate a yummy dinner, and enjoyed all of the great company. Thanks to the Calls for a great day!

Happy Love day every one! First I'm sure there isn't anyone reading this that I don't love one for one reason or another! Thank you for being great friends or great family members!
Our day started off as it always does for Valentines day with a yummy breakfast! Clark traditions run through our home and Kris woke up early to make us all yummy french toast and bacon! Thanks babe! Every year we get the kids a gift but Kris and I don't really exchange gifts except for these awesome yummy strawberries! Kris knows how much I love them and every year he comes through although this year they were extra special! He made these himself!! I know he's hot and he's crafty! So I am totally in love with my family but most of all my hubby and this is why...
* 7 years ago he fought for me! He so easily could have walked away thinking this girl is not worth 1/2 this drama but instead he stayed by me even through my crazy confusions.
* Umm he's HOT!
* He knows just what to say to make me feel good, even if it is not saying much at all.
* He is an amazing dad. He adores our children and always puts me and our family's best ahead of EVERYTHING else.
* Some times I find myself starring at him thinking how hot he is.. oh wait did I already say that;)

So I had a great day today! I decided to wake up and go for what I would call a long run today. We walked Lacey to school and from there took off on a run to Kannon's doctor appt. by the mall. (by the way he is 50% in height, and he fell off the curve in weight... we need to beef him up!) I felt really good so I guess the kickboxing at least helped with my indurance. Coming back was a different story though. I ran as much as I could but did have to stop and walk a couple of times. I felt like I actually accomplished something today, even if it was just for myself. I really want to train for a marathon but we will see if I can actually commit to a vigerous schuedule of running like that. Plus I felt like today I was running a marathon and my run was broken up! It just seems so far out of reach. Then I got home and called Kris and he lets me know that he got in a big car accident and his truck is probably totaled or at least bad enough that we will be without a 2nd car for a while. BUMMER! He is ok, but what a pain in the butt! So we may be looking for a new truck but hopefully it can be fixed! Way to ruin my good day, huh! NO, I'm just kidding. I'm just grateful Kris is ok. That is just the way it works huh, too bad his day had to be so crappy. Now if I can just clean the house and get dinner made he can at least come home and end his day in peace. My poor baby! :(

On Saturday Lacey went to the Hannah Montana movie with her cousins because I had a baby shower to be at. From what I hear it was "the best day ever!" Lacey loves acting like a big girl and quite frankly just being away from mom and dad. (We're in trouble!) The morning started by picking out her most Hannah Montana outfit, and of course she had to have her hair straightend! Honestly she's not even that into the show but she had a great time dressing up and hanging with the girls! Thanks Kerrie, Kim, and Grandma!

We went to Chuck E Cheeses today on a field trip for Lacey's preschool.(yeah, real creative on the teachers part, huh) Anyways, we turned it into a Family fun day and we had a great time. Mia totally cheats on the skee ball and after winning the jackpot twice in a row I finally got emabrassed and made her play a different game. We just seemed to get lucky on all the games we played today, winning 4 different jackpots! When all was said and done, we had 550 tickets, tummies full of pizza, salad,and cotton candy, and a fun afternoon.

A day to relax at Disneyland

Yesterday I NEEDED to get out of the house so I took the kids to Disneyland. At first I was a little hesitent to take 3 kids by myself but then I decided we wouldn't worry about going on rides but just go and hang out and see the shows. Well the day was PERFECT! It was so beautiful outside and hardly crowded at all. We even ran into to Casey and Brianne Albright and got to go on a couple of rides with them, which Lacey loved! Her favorite part of the day was going on splash mountain with Brianne and her dad. All in all it was the perfect day to just relax and spend some quality time with my kids!

Whenever Kris sees these videos he laughs because he thinks I'm funnier than Kannon. This day Kannon was cracking me up though. He was down stairs and every time I poked my head out to check on him he went crazy. So I grabbed the camera and of course as soon as I did he stopped! I did manage to catch him spazing once though.

My sister-in-law Annie tagged me to tell you all 6 interesting things about me. The funny thing is I was just filling out applications for game shows yesterday and I can never think of anything interesting about myself but I guess I'll give it a shot. Well I guess that brings me to number 1...

* I love game shows!!! I guess I just have always had a hidden desire to be on TV or famous, and a game show is as close as I'll ever get! I have been on Hollywood Squares where I won a Mediterranean Cruise and a few thousand dollars. Kris and I had a great time on that trip through Europe! I also was on Family Feud with the in-laws where we were 3 day champs winning a little more than 40 grand! See it pays to love game shows!

* I LOVE FOOD!!! My perfect meal would start with nachos then chicken fettuchini alfredo(Red Lobsters is THE best), oh and I guess I would need a big plate of french fries and ranch with my pasta, and followed by warm brownies, or chocolate cake drenched in caramel topped with vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries! OH sounds like heaven!

*I love big animals. Before having kids I seriously contemplated the idea of going to school for a degree in psychology so I could train dolphins and whales at like Sea World. That is what the trainers said that they looked for when they hire. Wouldn't that be amazing! oh well, I'm going to have to settle with training the horse Kris promised me before we got married!

* I have the greatest Family in the world! Not only extended but specifically immediate. My Husband is so loving and truly makes me the happiest girl in the world. He tolerates me and all of my craziness. I'm not the perfect house wife but he loves me anyways! not to mention HE IS HOT!!! And although sometimes I want to trade in my kids.. I love them just as obnoxious as they are and if I do say so myself, they are pretty dang cute!

*UMMM.. is 4 good enough? I'm just not that interesting of a person...

Another rainy, sick, PJ, kinda day!

So here we are 5 days later... from when Mia first started having a fever! It has now reached over 105 twice, and we are starting to get a little concerned. We took her in to the doctors Monday but they didn't diagnose her with anything. They gave her antibiotics to kill whatever was causing the fever, but obiously that's not working. On a lighter note, Kannon is so funny the way he loves to eat his piggies!

Although the pictures aren't great and this really is nothing too exciting, I really need to put up a new post.... so this is what we did for family home evening last night. A few families got together out of the rain and brought dinner to the stake center for fun and games. The kids loved being able to ride their bikes and kick the balls around in the cultural hall. The men gathered in one corner and the women in the other. It was alot of fun and it was good to get out of the house.

The men in the family got tickets to the monster trucks for Christmas. The boys had a great time. Scott was a little nervous at first but enjoyed it more and more as the night went on. "E" had a blast and enjoyed every minute of it. Boys rule! This was definitely more fun than going to see Princesses on ice.

We had so much fun at Disneyland yesterday. We went with Kris' family but spent a good part of the day just hanging out and getting autographs. When we got to see the princesses Belle was just leaving, and she is Lacey's FAVORITE! We did get a picture and that always makes Lacey's day. We also saw Pocahontas which was a first in all the times that we have been! All in all a great day!

Mia is SOOOO cute! She just adores Minnie Mouse! The whole time we were in line she was jumping up and down yelling MINNIE... MINNIE!!! It makes me so happy to see her happy!

Late in the day we were trying to locate cousins and my cell phone died! Lacey insisted we were lost and grabbed her map. She was studying it closely when she said "Mom, I can't find the mountain, and according to my calculations, they should be at the mountain." I just thought she was so funny so I had to run ahead and snap a picture without her knowing. She was referring to Thunder Mountain.

The day after Christmas we went to lunch with our friends Chris, Danielle and Conner Carrino, Jason, Suzie, and Jared McKeon, and Collin Cummings. We went to one of our long time favorites Rattlers and as you can see Lacey and Mia had PLENTY of ribs to eat!

So I have been playing with the idea of feeding Kannon rice cereal for a couple of weeks now. Kris thinks he is too young, and judging by how small he looks in his high chair maybe he was right. But all in all I think his first meal was a success. He ate a few bites and at least now I can feel OK about letting him cry at night because I will know he has been well fed!

Well it has been a long time coming but we are back. After not blogging for a while it is intimidating to start again because you don't know where to begin. This is a picture of my whole family, minus my oldest brother Nate at Daniels homecoming. I have to admit I have been in a little bit of awe of having him home the past few weeks but I think it has finally sunk in that he is home and he is the same old loud crazy Dan, but a lot wiser and little more mature. Mia is hilarious with him. He comes around and she hides and gets so shy! She is starting to warm up a little, at least she doesn't cry when she sees him now. We love having him home and he is such a great example for my whole family.
